The little opera is an animated adaptation of an opera, which approaches us, with fun and knowledge, to the operistic genre, and introduces an important composer and his work to us. It offers a pleasant artistic experience of music, singing, story, and audiovisual art.

Who is the Little Operl?
The Little Opearl is a fictional character, that emerges from the sea of imagination. Her name is based on the sound metaphor sound (Opera-pearl-opearl) and an analogy between a pearl (for the birth of a pearl, a molehill must be wrapped with other substances) and an opera, that arises by adding a story, characters and playing at the stage to music.

Rusalka
Rusalka is the most famous opera by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, whose plot resembles the well-known fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen about a little mermaid. Nevertheless, Rusalka's libretto by Jaroslav Kvapil includes a lot of Czech popular beliefs and some of the Czech fairy-tale creatures.
